Red-Winged Blackbird Records, LLC, is a fledgling indie record label founded by me, Katie Powderly. A musician myself, I know the challenges you face in independently releasing your music. And with the music industry changing so dramatically in recent years, people like you and I have been increasingly unable to find resources that are really relevant to us and our careers. That's why I started this label.

Red-Winged Blackbird Records, LLC, is a small, independent record label founded by a musician for musicians. Are you an emerging Americana, indie, folk or roots musician who dares to make a bold artistic statement in your music? If so, my team of seasoned industry professionals and I might be perfect for you. We don’t expect the artists we work with to be perfect, but we do want raw talent and original material from musicians who are unafraid to test boundaries and create new traditions while honoring the traditions of yesteryear.

Together, we can help you articulate your musical goals, no matter how big or small, then craft a customized approach that will best enable you to attain them. We can assist you every step of the way, as much or as little as you want, providing relevant resources, from recording to release...and beyond.
